Feng Shui Water Element

Fengshui Water Element

The five element theory is the heart of feng shui. And also the basics for different cures for feng shui afflictions. The chi energy of every direction is ruled by one of the five elements- fire, wood, metal, earth and water.

The water feng shui element, in all its gentleness and grace, is a very powerful element; it bring flow, function and freedom into your home; in fact, water is one of the most powerful forces of nature. It is a different kind of power, the one that often takes you by surprise and encompasses all extremes – it can be a very powerful healer, as well as the ultimate destroyer.

The water feng shui element is also about the only element that is very free in its presence and expression – it can fall from the skies (rain), it can joyfully run, rest or play on the surface of the earth (rivers, lakes, oceans) as well as penetrate the deepest chambers of the inner earth (underground water).

WATER ELEMENT - rules the NORTH of your home. It enhances CAREER LUCK.

The Water element enhances spirituality, inspiration, relaxation, and the ability to go with the flow. Too much Water in an environment can promote spaciness and diminish productivity, while too little Water encourages stress, rivalry, anxiety, pettiness, and sarcasm.
The Water element is found in:

· streams, pools, fountains, and water features of all kinds.
· reflective surfaces such as cut crystal, glass, and mirrors.
· flowing, free-form, and asymmetrical shapes.
· art portraying bodies of water.
· black and all dark tones, such as charcoal gray and navy blue.

Just as water is essential for life on earth, so is this element essential in your home or office decorating. The first way the water energy expresses itself is in flowing, meandering pathways – which are modeled after water flow and are always good feng shui!
Color-wise, you might want to bring more of the water element with its endless variety of blue to calm, cool and refresh your space, as well as promote a deeper sense of connection to life mysteries. Water is also an ancient symbol of abundance, so be sure you are skillful at expressing the water element in your space in order to attract more abundance.

The Water feng shui element is needed in the North, East and Southeast bagua areas of your home or office (if you are working with the Classical feng shui bagua). If you are working with the Western/BTB bagua, then bring a strong Water feng shui element decor in your Career & Path in Life, Health & Family and Money & Abundance bagua areas. The healing, life giving and mysterious energy of the Water element can be expressed in colors blue and black, in a variety of water features, in flowing shapes, images of water, mirrors, as well as numerous decor items in blue and black colors.

The water energy in the north brings CAREER luck. It ensures that you don't loose your job, your lifestyle and  you have a meaningful job that challenges you and gives you happiness.  TO ACTIVATE CAREER LUCK- You need to ask " Which feng shui element creates water?" Metal. So you hang wind chimes in the north or place a metal turtle. The tingling sound of metal on metal will bring you good career luck. Because its metal that creates water. You can also place a water fountain since it carries water energy.

You must place water fountain or water feature in your wealth corners- south east, south west and north. However please remember if these areas fall in your bedroom, bathroom or kitchen then you must place the water feature in the wealth corner of your living room.
Also dont have a fountain under a stair way. This can cause illness or other misfortune to children. You can also have a water feature in the wealth corner of your garden. You can place the water fountain at the front door.
The harmonious presence of  Water Feng Shui Element in your home decor will create a refreshing energy of ease, purity and freshness.
Water elements also brings renewal and sense of flow to any space. As an ancient symbol of Abundance, the water element is considered a potent feng shui wealth cure.

Feng Shui tips For Better Health

Feng Shui tips for Better Health

We see Feng Shui dragons, turtles and coins, but how effective are they? If the Feng Shui plant has been gifted to you, it is considered lucky for your home. How about having dragons and turtles with money bags and coins in their mouth, standing in your homes with their face toward the main door. We’ve all heard of these, but did you know that simple changes in your homes/offices could make the place a healthy one for you.
We give you some known practices of Feng Shui which are good for your health and life.

  • Keep your shoes outside
As indicated by Feng Shui, you should'nt  enter your home with your shoes on. It is believed that your shoes carry the anxiety and strain of your entire day, and carrying them inside your home will likewise welcome those bad energies. Hence, keeping these bad energies away means good health.
  • Keep your home organised
Always make sure that you are not living like a herd. Keep your home spacious and organised so that when you wake up from your sleep, you can find your things easily. It will automatically release any stress from your body and you will feel positive about everything, thus affecting your health positively.
  • Welcome light and fresh air
The fundamentals of Feng Shui depend on the elements of life, so being around those elements will protect you from bad luck, sadness, sorrow and other negative energies. Fill your place with elements of life such as light, air and nature so that there is no space left for any dark energy to affect you.

  • Sleep in the corner of your home
The practices of Feng Shui are mirror images of a perfectly civilized life. In respect to Feng Shui, the place where you sleep matters how well your day will go. The possible location of your bedroom should be the corner of your house. Feng Shui does more to your relationship too and ensure good and healthy life.

  • Be around positive colours
Application of colors in our life is very important and in Feng Shui rituals colors have a very straight forward effect on our health and life. Houses should mostly be painted with colors suggested in the Feng Shui. You should always use positive colors around you to fill your body with energy and enthusiasm. Not to forget that the inverse can really affect your living conditions, so follow Feng Shui for beautiful and safe moments in your life.

  • Play sounds of nature as music
Feng Shui says that every possible occurrence in our life is regulated by the energies present around us. Playing the sounds of nature fills the place with positive energy. Play a disc which has music of nature like mountain streams, moving wind, waves of seas, chirping birds and all the possible sounds of the elements of life. It would give a heavenly feel to your home and keep your mind relaxed and cheerful.
  • Plant a tree
For healthy life and positive luck, planting a tree close to your place is a perfect Feng Shui ritual. If by any chance you can’t have a plant, you can still have any big furniture made of wood. A dragon faced wood sculpture welcomes good luck and charm in your life. Take home any wooden item which symbolises both air and water as it is believed that this practice protects you from the influence of bad luck, ghosts and evil spirits.
  • Certain pictures have healthy meanings
Pictures and paintings of Chinese gods are very famous for activating your health luck. Place the picture of the god of eternal life, the Sau, to keep your family healthy and prosperous. Keeping pictures of deer, pine trees and cranes are also good for your health. Follow the fundamentals of Feng Shui to keep yourself healthy and happy.

Christmas is a spiritual time so it provides a good focus for us to reconnect with our spiritual life, to our family and friends, which is important for our well being.
But to connect with it we need to follow 6 basic steps for bringing the positive chi in the house.

1. Avoid excess: Have a good clear out of your home before Christmas.  This allows some space for you not only to receive more gifts but also to welcome in friends, family and opportunities in the life.

So getting rid of your clutter now will help you have a more peaceful holiday season.

2. Decoration and Lighting: "Hang garlands and lights so they swag, 'smile and spread joy and happiness." If you have a fireplace, light it and keep your rooms well lit to help energises occupants. You can add floor lamps and side lamps to complement the surroundings.
Floor lamps and table lamps brings more yang energy. Floor lamps, especially torchiere lamps, brighten up dark corners. A torchiere floor lamp is an excellent choice since the light shines up to the ceiling and is reflected back into the room. The upward lighting can serve as a cure for overhead beams by negating the inauspicious energy associated with beams.

3. Placing Christmas tree: The tree belongs to the Wood feng shui element, so place it in an area that is either compatible with the wood feng shui element, or benefits from its energy.

Here are the best feng shui areas for your Christmas tree:

* East (Health & Family)
* Southeast (Money and Abundance)
* South (Fame and Reputation)

Try to place the tree in the centre of your home it will fill your entire house with good festive spirit because this is the "Grounding/Balance" area of your home. Choose a yellow or gold tree skirt and a bright yellow star or angel with golden hair at the top of the tree.

However avoid placing your tree near the front door, known as the "Work/Career Area," because it will drain energy from your career.

4. Bring Real plant: In feng shui, green is the colour of healing. It relieves and diffuses stress and creates a peaceful environment. Vibrant plants are always good feng shui, as they bring the healing essence of nature into ones home. Indoor air-purifying  plants are the best choice, because along with beauty and grace, they also do a great job of purifying the energy, as well as calming the space.

Decorate with pine or evergreen branches and garland; consider hanging some over your entryway outside to ward off negative energies and invite fortune and luck.

5. Add Fragrance: As human beings,
we are emotionally impacted by scent.  In fact, our sense of smell is considered the only sense that evokes a purely emotional response. The air you breathe creates the mood you are in.  Fragrances bring positive energy to your surroundings.

Using essential oils daily is excellent feng shui for your home, but see what works best for you. To enhance the Christmas mood, you can choose essential oils of sweet tangerine oil, zesty lemon, warm cinnamon, or spicy clove bud oil.

6. Candles: Candles are
always excellent feng shui, especially during Christmas season! The fire of the candle purifies and cleanses the energy, while the warmth and soft glow can really soothe ones emotional unbalances and concerns.

Home Decoration - Feng Shui Tips

Can Simple Home Decoration Feng Shui Tips really bring me peace and harmony?

Yes I can say that after experimenting with feng shui for years that it really works and is like a miraculous force working either to your advantage or disadvantage.

Good feng shui is about organizing your home in a way that it brings the positive energy in you. This means every placement of every object in your house. And when I say every object I mean every spaces ranging from entrance to foyer, living to bedroom, kitchen to balconies, fireplace to bathroom. It means everything!

But I would say feng shui decorating is not just moving furnitures. It’s about selecting certain objects for a very systematic placement. And in this section I would like to cover all necessary suggestions regarding living room organizing.

The living room is a vital seat of feng shui for your family and should be addressed with this importance in mind.
Most families spend a great deal of time in the living room and because it's a gathering place, it needs to accommodate the appropriate feng shui energies to ensure the wealth, health, and happiness of the family.

And to start with it first foremost things we have to do is:

  •  Eliminate clutter: In many homes, the single biggest feng shui problem is clutter! It blocks the smooth flow of chi through your space, weighs you down energetically, and keeps you stuck in the past. Clutter makes it very difficult to make changes, take advantage of new opportunities, or welcome new friends and experiences into your life. If you can get rid of even half the unnecessary stuff in your home, you will feel lighter and will get the idea of free space in home.

  •  Main door & entryway: In feng shui, the main door is called the mouth of Chi, or Universal energy. A front door opening inwards is welcoming, or pulling inside the Chi-energy.If the door opens outwards, change the position of the hinges. The front door opening outwards can spoil the feng shui of the entire house. Next important thing is your front door should open completely and easily. Dustbins, crackled old pots or dying plants should not kept around the main entrance whereas it’s a good idea to keep an empty vase near the entrance to collect Chi.

  • Shoes and Slippers: Don’t leave shoes or slippers lying around outside the main door of your apartment as this space should remain free and clear. The chi (energy) rides with the wind and will collect all the smell of those shoes and slippers into your apartment causing sickness. Shoes should closely kept inside the shoe rack.

  • Furniture: Don’t place furniture underneath or alternatively level with beams as this will cause the Chi to be pressured which could bring pressures to your life. If you have no choice you can cover the beam with a beautiful false ceiling and have lighting inside. However Your First priority is to place the main sofa against a solid wall.Otherwise you will have no support in life. The smaller sofas can have a window behind but not the main one!
  • Electric Gadgets: People watch TV, listen to music and use gaming system. Electronics such as TVs and computers are yang energy and very active, so place these in areas you wish to activate. Electronics in the living area can bring positive chi because the people using the space are enjoying themselves and the people with whom they are interacting.

The north (career) or south (fame and recognition) sectors of the room are excellent choices to placing the gadgets. Avoid placing the television set in the Bedroom. But in any case you have no choice, than make sure it should be covered while sleeping and when not in use.

    • Aquarium: An aquarium in the feng shui living room can be a source of enjoyment and relaxation. By placing your fish tank correctly in your apartment you can bring about great fortune and harmony in the house. Placing fish tank or aquarium in the south east of your living room will attract wealth and abundance in your home. It’s best to have a square or rectangular shape aquarium in the south east.

However if you prefer a round one then you should place it in the north. This will ensure that you have a steady flow of income and good career luck.

    • Water Fountain: Fountains are very popular in feng shui because they bring the energy of water, and water is an ancient feng shui symbol of wealth and prosperity. Fountains are helping to diffuse negative energy. If you have chosen to have an indoor water fountain, you should place it in a favorable position in your apartment in order to attract whatever you want in your life. Best feng shui areas to have your feng shui fountains are the following:
      • East - Health & Family
      • Southeast - Prosperity and Abundance
      • North - Career & Path in Life
      • But never place fountain in the bedroom, it’s only to be placed in the living room.

    • Paintings: You can choose one that really picks out colors in your living room or choose your whole color scheme around a fantastic picture. However be wise with images and paintings. Here are some suggestions:
      • Landscapes depicting sunrise, water or mountains signify hope.
      • Portraits of people with serene and smiling faces encourage positive feelings. Hang a large family portrait to enhance the importance of the family members.
      • Cascading water symbolizes good luck.
      • Paintings based on geometric shapes increases destructive feelings. Keep them at bay.

Lush green plants can fill the bare lonely corner of your feng shui living room with life and vitality. Plants in the south east of living room will bring you wealth and abundance. In the south they bring you fame and good recognition luck. Green plants in the east will bring you good health and vitality.

Lucky bamboo is the best plants to keep at home. Its help you to achieve harmony in your home. Use the meanings for the number of stalks to ensure you select the best plant for your need. Never place plants in a bedroom, even if it's a lucky bamboo. This creates too much yang energy and will have an inauspicious effect.

    •  Fireplace: The fireplace is an attractive focal point, and a wonderful gathering point for the whole family to get together. A fireplace in the south of your feng shui living room will bring you fame and recognition luck. A fireplace is in the south west is sure to bring added romance into your love or married life.   In the north east the fireplace helps you keep a cool and calm head with clear thinking, also brings education luck.

    •  Colors: Colors makes life rejuvenating. Whether you're giving your walls a fresh new coat of paint or wallpapering it, the new energy that you give your walls can affect your environment dramatically. It is vital that you take a moment to think about how your fengshui is affected by your renovation and make good decisions based on sound feng shui principles. The color of your living room plays the most major role in creating the chi for your home, so here are some suggestions through picture images you need to get you on your way!

    • Lighting: Lighting is very important. Natural light is the best chi enhancer during daylight. In addition to natural light, artificial lighting such as table lamps, torch lamps that throw light to the ceiling, and overhead lighting options are beneficial. For relaxing lounging times use dimmers, side lamps and free standing lamps to ground the energy.

    • Your Personal Touch: While you want your living room to follow feng shui basics, you also want it to reflect your personal tastes. Don't be afraid to add your personal touches. Your house should have the reflection of yours. The true feng shui principles are about form and placement and also the people and their presence.
If you apply these feng shui principles and rules to your decor, you'll have a very auspicious living room.

Some basic elements that activate wealth can be used in most living rooms.
